Conzuri Cloud Runners | The First Conzuri Shoe

The Cloud Runners were the very first in a rapidly expanding line of Conzuri products. The UK company saw the need to revolutionise the ‘height-elevation niche’ within the shoe industry, a niche that had yet to reach its full potential. They knew a new type of boost was needed to compete and dominate the online space. The Cloud Runners was Conzuri’s first step to seeing that potential and what brought their online store into the limelight. While the shop now sells other height boosting shoes, shoe cleaning supplies and accessories, the original Cloud Runners are still the face of Conzuri.

Let’s talk a bit about Conzuri and the shoes that put them on the map. We’ll also cover some FAQs at the end.

Let’s start with the…

History And Background Of Conzuri

Conzuri is the brainchild of Jack Consalvi, who, before starting a shoe company, co-founded the fitness brand cpgym–which sold digital fitness plans and partnered with other companies such as Myprotein and Musclefood.

Consalvi ended his time with cpgym in 2020 to start Conzuri in the same year. Consalvi’s prior business experience in sales, marketing and overall company founding paid off when his new company went from zero to Short King hero in just three years, putting it among the DTC firms with the quickest rate of growth ever.

Introducing The Cloud Runners | Their First Height Boost Shoe

As we’ve said, the Cloud Runners were the first Conzuri height-boosting design. Conzuri wanted to make well-made sneakers that boosted the confidence of the men who wore them. They also needed to be comfortable, as this was the crux of the height-elevating niche; few are able to be worn longer than a few hours, and people weren’t buying them because of that.

Their answer was the Cloud Runners, a pair of sneakers that adds 2.4” to the wearer’s height. That can literally be the difference between short and not. They managed this as all height-boosting sneakers do, with built-in elevating insoles. These insoles, however, are not solid blocks that will inevitably bring forth back pain to anyone unfortunate enough to wear them. Instead, they feel like ‘walking on clouds’ (hence the name). Conzuri then started to share their new product on social media, with both UK and US influencers showcasing the shoes and posting reviews on their pages for tens of thousands to see.

Once Conzuri knew they had a winner, they began to focus on the next important factor. Style!

New Products, New Boost Runners

While certainly not ugly, the OG Cloud Runners are a pretty average-looking sneaker. Conzuri knew that shoes must have a certain ‘drip appeal’ in order to be fully accepted in the realm of footwear. Their next step was to make various colourways for their design. One of the most popular silhouettes was the Ice Runners, which, along with the Vexors, took social media by storm as the focus products of the ads.

The Ice White Runners

It doesn’t have to be said (but we’ll say it anyway) that the Ice Runners have a much more fashionable appeal than their predecessors, as all-white boost sneakers are all the rage. That being said, it is still the same silhouette and has the same 2.4” insoles built into the shoe, just with an ice white exterior.

The Boost In Black | The Midnight Runners

Another exceedingly popular colourway is the Midnight Runner, an all-black version of the shoe. According to Conzuri’s website, it’s the most requested boost colour of the entire Cloud Runner collection to date. All of these sneakers go well with any form of casual or street fashion. Whether it’s drilla drip for the London streets or something that comes with fewer ops, any one of these Runners will fit seamlessly with the rest of the fit.

Other Boost Runners

Over time, Conzuri has released even more colourways, like the Navy Runners, the Desert Runners and the new Limited Edition Olive Green Runners. Any colourway not currently for sale on the Conzuri website can be found on Conzuri’s very own Amazon page. All have the same 2.4″ boost as the originals do.

All silhouettes are made with quality mesh fabric that can withhold ‘beater’ levels of abuse. While the insole is famously soft and supportive, the outsole is solid and designed to keep the wearer’s feet safe from the elements, no matter where they are.

While Conzuri is immensely proud of its Runner collection, they have moved on with further designs. Among their new sneaker silhouettes, we have the Axels, which have gained massive popularity since their release. Conzuri has also produced a variety of quality dress shoes, a pair of Chelsea boots and even some midtop loafers. All their shoes offer a height boost to some degree, be it a boost of 1″ of a boost of 3″.

All of these shoes can be purchased on the Conzuri online shop at a 15% discount with our own affiliate link.
